By accessing or using Squawk, you accept these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Squawk provides pilot‑centric tools including logbook entry, progress tracking, badges & ranks, leaderboards, and profile pages. We are not a substitute for professional flight instruction, counseling, or legal advice.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the age required by your jurisdiction).
- Squawk is not a flight‑instruction or legal service.
4. Your Account
- Authentication is provided by third‑party providers (e.g., Auth0/Google).
- Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for content and data you submit.
5. Key Features
- Logbook: record flight data; summaries are informational only.
- Badges & Rank: computed from your data; not endorsements.
- Public Profiles:
/u/[handle]pages show selected elements you enter. - The Club & Leaderboards: display name, home base, and high‑level metrics may appear to other users.
- Feedback: submissions may be used without obligation to compensate.
6. Acceptable Use
- No unlawful, misleading, or harmful content; no spam, scraping, or abuse.
- Do not upload others’ personal data without consent.
7. Your Content & License
- You retain ownership of content you add.
- You grant Squawk a worldwide, non‑exclusive, royalty‑free license to host and process your content to operate the Service (e.g., sharing, leaderboards, public pages).
8. Third‑Party Services
- We rely on providers including Auth0 (authentication), Supabase (database/storage), Vercel (hosting), and analytics/email providers.
- Their terms may apply.
9. Plans & Billing
- Free and paid plans may be offered.
- Plan‑specific terms shown at purchase time are incorporated by reference.
10. Changes, Termination, Disclaimers
- We may modify or discontinue features.
- Service is provided “AS IS” without warranties.
- Liability limited to the amount you paid in the prior 12 months, to the extent permitted by law.
11. Governing Law
- California law governs these Terms.

Privacy Policy

- We collect only what we need to provide Squawk and keep it secure.
- You can access, export, or delete your data (subject to legal obligations).
2. Data We Collect
- Account & Auth: name, email, avatar, identity provider IDs.
- Profile: display name/handle, home base, hour summaries and progress flags you set.
- Logbook: entries you create (dates, aircraft, routes, landings, hours, instrument/night details).
- Badges/Rank: computed counts from your data.
- Social: friendships/following, leaderboard positions, and basic metrics shown to others.
- Feedback & Support: messages you send us.
- Device/Usage: IP, device/browser, pages visited, timestamps, cookies/session analytics.
- Media: images you upload (e.g., profile photo).
3. How We Use Data
- Provide and secure the service (auth, storage, backups, fraud/security).
- Compute badges/ranks and show leaderboards.
- Show public profile pages at

- Improve the product using aggregated analytics.
4. Sharing
- Service providers process data under our instructions (Auth0, Supabase, Vercel, analytics/email, payment processors if used).
- Public/Shared content: profile pages, The Club and leaderboards are visible to other users/visitors.
- Legal: we may disclose to comply with law or protect rights and safety.
- We do not sell personal data.

- Data may be processed in the United States and other locations.
- We use appropriate safeguards and keep data while your account is active.
